What we have done so far...

• Very well established working group with both chair and vice chair.
• An audit of the early support needs of children 0.5 years.
• Held a ‘Children’s First’ conference which demonstrated alternative ways to deliver holiday/ after school support.
• Action from the audit was to employ an early year’s coordinator who would develop and implement early support.
• More children have been able to access mainstream provision for day care/after school/ school holiday.

What we plan to do in the future?

• Continue to work in partnership with ‘Leisure and Culture’ to ensure ‘LEISURE FOR ALL’ is not just a statement but reality.
• Audit of support for children above the age of 5 years.
• Continue to be a consultation forum that discusses ways of developing future services.
• Work as a conjit that links both Partnership Board and children and young peoples services
• On going support to mainstream providers to offer holiday/day care /after school provision.
