| Mission Statement | • The Partnership
Board will provide a focus for the implementation of Valuing People and
Our Health , Our care, Our Say in Wigan. • The Partnership Board will link into the Vulnerable Peoples Group of the Borough Health Partnership and build on the current Joint Commissioning arrangements. • Policies which affect the Learning Disabilities Service in the Borough will be discussed by the Board. • Recommendations of ‘Valuing People’ and ‘Our Health, Our Care, Our Say’ will be implemented and monitored. • Service provision and quality will be monitored to ensure they meet assessed need within the Borough. • A strategy will be developed to ensure self advocates and family members have an opportunity to contribute to service development. • The Partnership Board will follow a democratic process of consultation in making decisions within the Partnership Boards remit. • Where decisions regarding learning disability issues are beyond the remit of the Partnership Board, the Board, following discussion and consultation will make contributions to other decision making processes by presenting recommendations to the decision makers |
